Default Intermittent severe loss of power/acceleration

2004 mustang GT AOD...starts fine, runs smooth, but at idle if i give it gas it will be REALLY sluggish revving and caps at 3K RPM, and when going from 10-15mph, if i floor it, it will do the same sluggish, like really sluggish RPM and acceleration, and cant go faster than about 50mph with the RPM cap at like 3000rpm...BUT heres the thing, it only happens intermittently, cold start, or drive 20 miles and then all of a sudden it will do it....random, no buttons pressed or anything...im completely clueless and the dealership gave up on me...any ideas? i mean when its not doing it, it runs completely normal like day 1...its bone stock 100%...thanks guys!

also sluggish i mean like 0-60 is like 10 seconds+...no check engine light, the dealership said no codes were thrown...

Sounds like something's getting hot, or you have some problems with fuel delivery/ignition. Try replacing your coil packs and checking all fuel lines.
