Default 1996 4.6 bypass hose/tube ***. replacement

the rubber section sprung a leak,looks to me like i'm pulling the intake to replace.is that necessary,is there a shortcut or alternative solution?

you should never take short cuts. Posting pictures helps a lot so we can properly identify what you are referring to.

The bypass tube shouldn't have any rubber at all except coming from the end of the bypass tube going to the heater core and that should all be outside of the intake.
