What exactly are the differences between an 86 intake and a 87+ intake? I know that in 87 they increased the throttle body size, but is that it? I have a complete 86 intake and was thinking about just buying an 87+ throttle body, but wanted to see if there were any differences before I did.

That is the only difference between the 2. Then if you go farther into the motor the heads are different also. I'm sure you can find stock 87+ TB's all over the place but I would look to go bigger for the same price. Look for an Explorer 65mm and do the slight modification.

I have a set of E7 heads sitting in the garage, they were on my first 302. I've got a 92 lincoln 302 in it now so I'm not sure what kind of heads it has.

I'll look around and see what I can find. I will only be doing this if my 67 doesn't sell.

Ah sweet, I might have to add EFI to my list of things to do if mustang doesn't sell. I plan on swapping the interior out first.

Double check what year and model of lincoln it came out of. If it came out of a town car then it is not an HO. If it came out of a MK VII then it is a HO.

....I did assume it was a Mark VII like said above....easiest way to tell, which way does the intake face....toward the pass is a HO....driverside is a non HO with E6 heads

Yeah its a non-HO, it was from a town car. But it feels faster than my old HO motor.
