The new mustang the the problems 89 foxbody hatch
ok so car reeves up and down when first starting i messed with the distributor .....bad idea not its worse and no matter were i turn the distributor it gets worse.....did clean out the intake/throttle body and that looked like black water....very nasty in there threw alil seafoam in there and ran it up and down the road....welll when i crank it this morning its still spitting and sputering and sounds like the engine is playing catch up the whole time which is never good....also my fuel guage isnt working alot of ppl have told me the ground i tryed following the wire but cant figure out were the ground is if anyone has a diagram thx (and i mean the ground coming from the fuel sending unit in the back of the gas tank.) this car was "rebuilt a thousand miles ago" i dont believe it was but was told to me....its been all painted up and i added some pics of the car..... also as far as the engine goes alot of the hoses are blocked off from screws mainly the coolant lines...only ones running is the ones going to the block to cool the engine off (i didnt do this was set up like this when i bought it) but yea....and if anyone has a diagram of all the vaccum lines under the car i keep thinking its that becuase it reeves up and down and then will kinda stop once it heats up but will still do it from time to time sorry for the paragraph here guys i just ran outa ideas and kinda poed that i cant get the car running right agiian any help would be much appreciated guys thx.

When you cleaned the throttle body & intake did you clean the IAC too?
And I saw someone else had posted this link in another thread. There's a lot of good information on the common surging idle problems.
