Default X-Pipes or H-Pipes

on my 05 GT I got the BBK Shorty Headers and the SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back Exhaust, and I wanna get new midpipes. What will sound better, the X-Pipes or H-Pipes? What's the good and bad things about each one? And what brand would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you definitely have an awesome set up so far. I'm a fan of X-pipes personally both both X and H are great! An X-pipe will give you that loud raspy sound and is better for power gains because of the straight through design. An H-pipe is deep and throaty but won't lead to as much power!

I think your Mustang is going to sound sick either way! Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

I personally like H-Pipes, not much power gain, but it has that muscle car sound that I like.

IMO prefer the h pipe because in the big picture your gains are minimal with either so might as well go after sound when buying these products.

I like the Bassani X, it looks like more of a chamber than an "X" or "H" and on my car with Corsa exhaust has a real deep muscle car sound.

I'm running UPR's offroad x-pipe on my '06 GT and it made a noticeable power gain. We've seen a dyno-verified increase of 20hp.
