anything over 3.73 is to much, i wouldnt go with nothing else, and an lx came stock with like 3.55 or 3.33 or something like that, if you have 3.73, that means there not stock... im pretty sure anyways... 4.11's would be the next step, and with the stock 5 spd tranny it would be to low geard for the hwy

stock came with 2.73's or 3.03's? 3.08's either 3.55's or 3.73's are good for highway and street applications

you would do as good to add a 2500 stall and a good shift kit and trans-cooler..then put in a 4;10 with a alum driveshaft.drag radial you should knock out .5-7 sec

I have 3.73's in my 89 behind a C4 its not exactly the greatest for highway driving because at 65 in turning 3,000 rpm.But from a stop or any speed really it will burry you in the seat its a lot of fun

Why is everyone saying 4.10 are too much. Top gear is overdrive, if you go with 3.73 you'll be dissapointed, get the 4.11's. I used to run 4.56's on my Olds with a t-400 tranny, no over drive there.

i no 4.10 are to much because thats what i have in my 99 cobra at 3000rpm@80mph. 4000rpm@110mph. 5000rpm@138mph. with o/drive t-45 trans.with 275/35/zr18 tires iam swaping to 3.73 real soon. 4.10 are a ok if you dont drive out of town.and liketire spin and i real short first gear. 3.73 are best.
