Fresh paint and waxing?

Fresh paint and waxing?
So recently my Mustang got backed into. Had body shop work and they had to repaint the door and of course blend it into the original sections. How long until I can safely wax and buff the car.... Car shows are coming up real fast Friday to be exact. I hoping I can do some sort of waxing however I do not want to chance it. The door was repainted two weeks ago.

Would it be ok to wash with Griot's Garage Cash Wash? I does not include any wax in the wash so I am thinking its ok..... I can't exactly let this car go to a show with bird **** on it. If anyone has any other suggestions on some car wash that would be safe to use that would be great.

Id say just wash it with simple green. No wax, no buffing...get that bird crap off of there at least, you don't want that acidic stuff etching your new paint. (Clear Coat) Simple green is pretty easy on things, you shouldn't have any issues.

I would never wash paint with simple green, you can wash the paint with regular car wash. Just make sure that it's very wet and has plenty of suds so the paint is lubricated while washing. The body shops wash the cars after they're painted. My local body shops have said anywhere from 30-90 days before waxing to allow the solvents in the paint to evaporate out. Usually the warmer the weather the less time it takes for the solvents to evaporate out and for the paint to fully harden and cure.
