Default i saw that i had a small antifreeze leak

I have a small antifreeze leak .and it was time for my oil change. So i ask my tech to just to take a look at it for me. I thought it was the thermostatic gasket ,but they said that my timing chain cover is leaking water and will cost me about $350.00. I am not tech but that dont sound right to me. Any ideas? The car is a 91 5.0 GT

Get a tube of Alumaseal and put it into your radiator, drive it around for 10-20 minutes, and it should seal. Don't use Bar's Leak. Alumaseal is for hard parts and acts like the white corpuscles in your blood stream. It finds the leak and clots. Bar's Leak is more for soft parts. Like seals. Now, this is not a permanent solution. Eventually it will leak again. But it will give you time to save up. On my 70 Charger, my radiator leaked. I used Alumaseal, and for 6 months it was ok. That's when I had enough to get the radiator. They had to make me a custom core, cus of the way my radiator was. Oh, and when they took apart the old one, turned out the bottom QUARTER was completely rotted. Alumaseal works!
