3rd brake light/license plate lights

I have a 1989 mustang gt project car. My 3rd brake light and license plate lights don't work due to the wires being cut just inside where the wires go into the car. I purchased a new harness but I don't have any idea in how to install it. The new harness has three clips and a ground wire. Does anyone know where these connect inside the car? Does it run all the way to the fuse box or is there another harness that it connects to? Any help would be appreciated.
