Default Speedo Cluster change. Will the mileage change?

I have a '02 V6 car (10/01 mfg. date) that has over 200k on speedo. If I were to swap to a speedo that is now showing 70k will it still show 70k in my car or will it revert back to 200k?

I'm not sure if that will be retained in the cluster or in the computer.

Any help appreciated!

Anyway, thanks, man! I guess that means that even if I changed the cluster, the mileage would remain the same?

Yes the mileage will stay the same as your vehicles computer stores that info.

I have an 02 mustang and switched to a Simco gauge cluster and it was very easy to switch as well. Just follow the instructions.

I changed the entire instrument cluster on my '05 GT and my mileage dropped back to 0. Now my Mustang has only 8k miles on it ^^
