Strength of 5.0L 6 sp. Auto Transmission
What can "those that know" tell me about the 2014 6 sp. Auto Transmission in terms of holding up to a Roush Supercharger's extra power (575 HP)?

I am by no stretch of the imagination an expert but I have been reading a lot recently on supercharging my '14 5.0 GT M6 Coyote. Here's what I've found:
1) We all know it but it needs to be said. There is no magic number. A stock 5.0 can blow all on it's own or you can be dropping 700rwhp and live a long happy life.
2) The general consensus seems to be that 600rwhp is the threshold for less likely/more likely to encounter issues. Most engine failures are over 620rwhp. My thoughts on it are:
Safe - Who cares? Buy a Prius!
Can sleep at night - Up to 600rwhp
Livin' on the edge - 600-660rwhp
Askin for it - 660+rwhp
This information is guaranteed to be 0%-100% accurate, take it for what it's worth but maybe it'll start the conversation.

Here's the thing...there is a "magic number" but nobody at Ford or SVT or anyone else for that matter is going to give you a hard number. That will deter you from spending money! lol!
Cortex has it right, the information is 0% to 100% accurate.
The same thing held true with the 4.6 engines...you were relatively safe up to about 450'ish. Once you got past that, then you started burning the wick on both ends of the candle.
The 5.0 should be able to handle 600+ w/o issue (pending driver mod), but as mentioned...once you get north of 650-675, you're playing with fire. Of course this all depends on driving habits and the stress you're putting on the engine.
