Mach 1 Wont Start After The Winter- HELP
Hey guys am hoping for some help here. I have a 03 mach 1 stang, stored it in the fall stabil in the fuel etc. this spring i pulled it out and tried to start it with no luck. the car was connected to a battery tender etc, and it turns over but would not fire. finally 3 days ago with the nice 80 degree weather i gave er a go and with some prodding got it to fire up, was running for 3-4 mins and tried to press the gas and it stalled. i was able to start it back up and again about 5 mins in i gave it some gas and it stalled out again. after this time i havent been able to get it to fire up. now when i turn it over it doesnt even sound like its trying to fire, just the continuous crank. any input on what the issue could be before i bring it to the garage would be greatly appreciated!! cheers!!!

sounds similar what happens to my Harley every spring.
this is what i do. hold the throttle wide open till she fires
once fired hold the RPM'S to 2-2500. for 2-3 minutes
Harley tech told me this back in 04 when i paid a $230 towing
bill to the dealer and he fired it up in less than 5 minutes.

I just had this happen to mine when I took it out of storage. It was a fuel pump.
dropped the tank in my garage and replaced it. took me about 5 hours. I'm sure someone who knows WTF they are doing could do it in less time. the pump was $200.00 at Oreillys and I figure I saved about $300 in labor doing it myself.
NOTE: If you do this yourself, order a new filler neck seal. You can get them from latemodel restoration for about $16. You'll pay over $25 from an auto parts store, if they can even get them. If you do not replace this seal you have a good chance of it leaking gas when you fill your tank up at the gas station. Then you'll end up dropping the tank again to replace the seal. Just speaking from experience.
