Default Common Ford IAC# F50Y-9F715A, F5TZ-9F715B and, F50Z-9F715AB operation?

Hi all!
Posted this same thread in the new member section, and it was suggested I post it here.

"First and foremost,
I am not a Mustang owner.
I joined your forum for information, because I may be using a Ford part in a custom design.

That part would be an IAC valve used on several Ford engines in the 1990s.
IAC# F50Y-9F715A, F5TZ-9F715B or, F50Z-9F715AB
It has been used on 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines, and I need to know how it operates, or basically,
What type of IAC it is?
- Step Motor
- Duty control rotary solenoid
- Duty control, Air controlled valve
- On/Off vacuum switching valve

It's most likely a step motor, as this was most common in those days.
However, since I would be using this for a custom intake set-up which utilizes a Ford T/B,
this information is quite important for my CAL.

Thank you, in advance for any help.
Have a great day!
Donnie"
