Default How long can I leave my car unused?

I'm planning on going home for the holidays (for almost 3 weeks) and leaving my car at school. Will my battery die, or will I experience any problems with leaving my car unused for this long? I have a 2012 v6 Mustang. Thank you!

3 weeks shouldn't be a problem at all, no need to do anything. But if your looking for piece of mind, you could just disconnect the battery.

With a 2012 you should have no problems. Like orange peel said, you could disconnect the battery. But if you just double check to make sure you don't leave a phone charger or something like that plugged in, I wouldn't worry about it.

On the fuel side of things - 3 weeks should be no problem I would just suggest making sure the fuel tank is as full as possible. This will prevent any rust & corrosion from condensation.

Anytime you store for longer than 30 days we would suggest using a high quality fuel stabilizer.

Have a great day!

3 weeks is nothing for your car. Just look at car dealerships - those cars can sit months and they don't melt away. Make sure you unplug any accessories and you'll be good to go.

Car dealerships move the cars around the lot quite frequently so they don't just sit there in one place.
