Question on tires as related to selling my Stang
So I'm getting ready to post my 97 GT convertible for sale. The one glaring issue it has it the need for new rubber. Since this is such a personal preference kind of choice, is it better to reduce my asking price appropriately or just go ahead and put new tires on now to improve the odds of a quick sale?

Those that care about tires won’t care about the condition of the tires because they will replace them anyways. Those that don’t care about tires will continue to not care about the tires. Putting new rubber on the car won’t really increase its value much at all. You would not get your money back from a new tire investment.

Any potential buyer will try to negotiate you down. I'd leave your asking price and let them complain about needing new tires. That way when they offer you $$$ less than you're asking, you can say ok due to the tires, knowing you would have said ok anyways.
If you lower your asking price and tell them you did due to the tires, they're going to try to negotiate you down further anyways.
