Front license plate mount?
Hey all,
Just bought my grabber blue 2014 v6 mustang. Waiting on the new plates to come through. Dealership supplied me with a bracket for the rear but nothing for the front. Looks like two holes are in place ready to attach the license plate so i'm looking to ask, where can i get a mount like this http://www.edmunds.com/ford/mustang/...models=&years= I want something simple and not framed. Something the plate can sit on top of but can't seem to find anything like this online. Could I go to ford and just buy one? Thanks so much! Tim |
There isn't a rear bracket - are you sure that the dealer didn't give you the front bracket? The rear plate just mounts into the recess that is built in to the rear fascia already.

Apologies, meant the license plate frame. I got a dealership license plate frame for the rear which i intend on replacing but didn't get any kind of frame for the front of the car.

There are hide away front plate mounts, might be an option for you: http://www.americanmuscle.com/flipdo...te-manual.html http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...z1nhoC_07w_wcB |
Thanks so much. What part of the car does the one on amazon attach to?
I don't really like the hide away ones or the ones that sit at the bottom of the bumper. I prefer the ones like featured in this article: http://www.edmunds.com/ford/mustang/...cat=affiliates I like it located in that position, my current stang has the two screw holes in this position also. Would the one you recommended on amazon fit here? |
The one on Amazon is the stock plate bracket. It mounts to the front bumper where the two holes are or where the "dimples" for the holes are.
