Can I fill my A/C compressor without dropping it again in an uncharged sytem?
Replaced the notorious FS-10 on my Mustang on Saturday. I feel as if I lost like half of the PAG oil while trying to get the new compressor into place. I really dread taking it back off and trying to add more for the same results.
So is there a way to add more PAG oil in to the system dropping the compressor and having possibly the same results? Since the system isn't charged yet (had a leak in the new condenser because a bolt that connects it to a line was crossthreaded, but just fixed that) could I possibly slowly add it through either the high or low pressure ports? Or is their another way into the system?

this will allow you to inject a measured amount of oil into the low side fitting, after you pull it into a vacuum, and before you add refrigerant
make sure that you dont add too much, too much oil is as bad as too little.

Ooooh, nice. Thanks! I had another reply elsewhere that said I could remove the Schrader valve and pour out a measured amount of the PAG oil inside. I was worried that would inject air into the system though. Glad to see a tool like this is available as it seems to be exactly what I am looking for. Thanks again!
