What's the point?
That red "theft" light that blinks all the freakin' time. Is it just a turnoff? I think criminals would figure that they all have one and they do NOTHING!

RE: What's the point?
it is part of the passive anti theft system. basicaly it has to do with the chip in your key. but yeah for the most part its just there for looks.

RE: What's the point?
Well, even if I put my key in there it blinks until the car is turned on.

RE: What's the point?
It doesnt seem to bother me. If you dont like it blinking, pull the bulb. Very simple

RE: What's the point?
It doesn't bother me either, I was just wondering if there was something "special" to it. Otherwise I was just wondering what the point was.

RE: What's the point?
Its just basicially to let a thief know that the car has some kind of anti theft system on it. Same thing as the flashing light they put in your car after getting a aftermarket alarm installed. Warns the thief before they proceed to take your car.

RE: What's the point?
Mine stays on all the time, doesnt even blink. Kind of annoying when the cars off at night and you are sitting in it.
