How to make a faster horse (2015-2017 Mustang GT)
 

I'm looking for ways to make the 2015-2017 Mustang GT faster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile WHILE keeping it naturally aspirated.

It looks like it is possible to get 1/4 mile down to 11.2 but that's with weight reduction, and drag tires. ( )

What I'm looking for is ways to make it faster while:
1) Keeping it naturally aspirated

2) Keeping everything that comes with the GT Premium (Basically weight reduction is good, but only if it replaces a part in the car and doesn't take it out like the seats)

3) Using street tires

Here's what I have so far, tell me what I'm missing:

You'll never run those times with the listed mods on street tires. The first 60ft in drag racing is critical to fast times. And you'll need a really sticky tire to hook up. Any wheel spin will kill your ET.

Or were you going to run drag radials ? Then that's alittle different, but still doable.

Also, your location isn't going to help either. Sea level will get you your best times. A mile up and your motor is starving for oxygen.

Thanks. I'm not trying to get an 11.2 but somewhere near there. Maybe an 11.7-12.0? And I'm really looking for it to get good roll times (I think my account says I'm in Colorado, but I've moved to Germany so I'm 0-1000 ft above sea level here). I'm trying to make it a fast daily driver (faster than the m3s around here which get like a 12.0 stock). Oh and I have auto (yes I know sad) and 3.55s. I think I got everything I need listed above. Someone told me to get long tubes instead of the catback so I'll look into that.

Oh, ok, I understand now. Roll times are important on street cars. And I think your 3:55's are fine for that. And as for LT's, I'm not familiar enough with the Coyote to say if it's worth it. But the members in the Tech section for your year Mustang may know more.

Off topic, what's it like driving in Germany ? I've always wanted to visit the Fatherland lol.

Thanks. I haven't been able to drive yet in Germany because my mustang arrives in December (currently in line to be built and then it has to be shipped). But, I've been in the car of other people driving and it's really nice on the autobahn. Everyone moves out of the way right as they pass and the parts with no restriction is great. A lot of roads are really narrow around and in cities (a little bit wider than one lane in the US). I live about 1.5 hours away from nurburgring so I'll be taking the mustang there a couple times.

Go with fiberglass hood, light weight car battery.

A fiberglass hood weighs a lot more than the stock aluminum hood. So for weight savings don't go with a fiberglass hood.
