Hey guys. I am new to forums all together so I appologize if this is in the wrong spot or what not. I am looking into lifting a 2001 Cobras suspension (front and rear) at least 6" for a project. It will be me and a team of 3 other people. All of my past background is in suspension tuning for on-road performance Mustangs so I do not know much about this off-road game. Does anybody have any recommendations of where to start or certain things I should begin looking into? Any suggestions? I understand how crazy this sounds and please no negative comments of why one would do such a thing. Let me know what you're thinking guys! Hope you can help.

As you're probably aware, there exists zero point zero aftermarket support for this project. Hopefully you and your team have some decent experience with off road fabrication, because you will probably have to make everything yourselves. As far as the IRS rear goes, I have no idea if there are any existing axles (like off the front end of a 4WD F150, for instance) that could be made to work; you may consider swapping out the IRS rear for a solid axle 8.8.

Dunno, but there is that pic floating around out there of a Ranger with an SN95 front half.

Yup, saw that in this thread haha.

I really like the idea of putting a Mustang body on top of a Ranger frame. There is a bit of a wheelbase difference, but that might not matter so much with the Mustang body up so high.

SN95 WB: 101.3"
Ranger WB: 107.9" & up

Hay 01SVTLift, VERY weird, I like it. Call CARID at: 800-505-3274. These guys are into this type of freeky stuff. I remember back in the day we would plant just about anything on the Ford Bronco frame: 1966 to 1977. Real death traps, but loads of fun to go four wheeling with. We would build our Frankenstein riggs from the frame up. What everyone said is true. Much fabrication and jury-rigging involved. I don't even want to mention time and money. Good luck.
