Default 5R55 S Transmission Cold start Valve delete

Mustangs 2005-2009 V6 and some GTs idk for sure are equipped with the 5R55S transmission has anybody heard of the Cold start valve delete for a full transmission fluid flow ? http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...r-flow.338261/
I have heard that this is good to keep your transmission cooler now it serves the same purpose as a thermostat to not let cold fluid go into the engine and not let cold transmission fluid go where it shouldn’t until it’s hot but I live in Florida everyone knows the cooler it gets out here is 60 degrees. For like a week has anyone else done it? I already took my transmission apart I burned my forward clutches for reasons I don’t want to discus lol just let me know if you or anyone you know has done it and what they think about it or just give me your honest opinion should I do this ?

In a word, no, it really isn't worth the time and effort. My 5R55S has survived stock for 160K, here where it commonly gets over 120 degrees in the summer months. If your driving habits differ from average, then I would reconsider my opinion. imp

there won’t be any time or effort involved in this mod because like I said my transmission is already out and taken apart. But thanks for your opinion man

There is no delete kit but, there are two methods to force it to stay open so that you get fluid flow regardless of temp. My thinking is the same as yours. Heat just murders these transmission and being where I live, I want full flow 100% of the time.

One method is to reverse the order of the parts and the spring inside so that it is always in the 'Open' position.
This is the write up from Level 10 on the cheapest method:

The other is to buy a shift kit like one of these that have some parts in them that also keep the valve in the open position.

I bought my kit, solenoid pack, and filter kit from these guys. Killer customer service and quick to answer my questions. I was having a hard time deciding which kit I wanted so they were kind enough to scan the instructions to me so I could decide for myself.

This one here is more complete if you're dropping the tranny as it has parts for the pump and for the return springs in 3-4 drum. I ended up buying this one but never used the springs for the 3-4 drum as I never dropped the tranny.

This is more a valve body only kit but it does have some stuff for the cold start valve and the pump.
