my TPMS is not working and thinking of buying some takeoffs from 2017 Mustang GT. From what I find they both use 315mhz signal from sensors. Here in lies my problem, on line sources say they will not work. Is it because of physical size or 315 mhz signal. If they are both the same frequency why can I not retrain them to the car. Running American Muscle staggered wheel and tires package now for the last 10 years, need a change. Somebody school me on this and be easy I am old.

Why they may be 315MHZ, the protocols are not the same between 2008 and 2017.
These work for various ford models from '05 to '11, but your '08 ones will only work from
'07 to '09 Mustang.

As far as SIZE goes, they call that Full Wave, 3/4 Wave and so on, but that effects
the transmission distance. IT does not change the wave-form, just the distance between
one point to another adjacent point in a wave.

thanks for the explanation I also have a set 315mhz off my 2013 F150 could not get them to train either. put them in a pvc pipe and pressurized and then placed on rear wheel and drove around to wake them up but no go.

You need a the hand tool, or I have read a magnet to wake them up for training
them to the car. There is a specific procedure to train them to the vehicle.
