Default Old Tuner

hey everyone new member here. I bought my 94 Mustang about two years ago. Located in the glove box is a switch which I’m assuming is a tuner. I don’t want to mess with it but it’s tacky so I want to remove it and eventually some day maybe install one the right way. Any advice as to what this thing is and how difficult it would be to remove it? Thanks!

We can't tell anything from that photo. There is a tag on the wire, how about
showing that? The most important part, you don't show it. We can't even
see that is IS a switch, it's facing the wrong way. You say it is, so we will
assume it is. There is really nothing about that photo that is informative.

Look up the info/numbers that are on the tag. All you're gonna get here is
guessing, unless someone knows what it is from having it, or seeing
it before.

Oh man....simple google of the info on the tag tells you what it is. From there you can look up instructions on how to install it. To uninstall it, it's just the reverse.

Looks like it's for an SCT 6600 switch-chip tuner, to select between tunes, for '87 to '04 Ford cars and trucks.

I guess you still have it, look in the passenger side kick panel:
