Accidently hit the rear bumper(right side back of the car)
Hi Guys!
I accidently hit my rear bumper driving through my university campus, when i made a right turn i heard a big THUMP and i checked it. I'm just curious on what kind of damage i have caused. My bumper took the hit yes, I just want to make sure before winter if I should do anything about it. I'm guessing from the picture it looks a bit misaligned after. Is there anything underneath the mustang on the rear bumper right side end that I should look for?

Can't really tell what's going on from that pic. Just slide under there and take a look, should be relatively easy to compare the side that got hit from the side that didn't and come up with some sort of damage assessment.

I keep telling him, he has to take it off before we know anything...
If the things circled in YELLOW are broken, then you can't fasten it without coming up with your own solution:
Mine has two plastic alignment pins, that protrude inside the trunk below the light
assemblies. I would remove them, drill a hole in place of for a bolt, and fasten it on,
and do both sides so it's even. I would use a nice chrome or red anodized part so it
looks okay, This way, it will force the bumper cover closer to the vehicle.
I would use these with a washer and nut inside the trunk:
Can get a bag of 20, you just need to find washers and bolts for inside.
