Default how to disable the warning sound at 4000 rpm

Hello, I have a new 2019 mustang and it has a warning beep at 4000 rpm. Is there a way to disable this warning beep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try the other key... One of them may be programmed in the system as a
parental control thing...

When is the warning coming on? At idle if you mash the gas? That's probably a free rev limiter and there is no way to disable it. That's there to tell you you could damage your engine.

If you're driving and it does it whenever you reach 4000 RPM that could be a shift indicator for best gas mileage (if you're manual) or like MustangDude mentioned a parental thing to keep the kiddies from having too much fun.

It happens everytime I hit 4000 rpm, regardless of gear or speed. Have not reved it that high while idling

Ok that sounds key/program related. Take it to a dealer and have them show you how to properly program it or look up Ford MYKEY Mustang program options. It's most likely in there somewhere.

Programming is in the owners manual, but you need the master key, the one that isn't
restricted.

Use the "Pony" button, scroll to "Performance Shift Indication", select "Shift Tone", and turn it off.

Zooks527, thanks. Advise was spot on. I shut off the rev match also. These are great vehicles. Thanks again.

You're welcome. Yup, great cars, and like everything else in the 21st century, they give off random beeps for all kinds of reasons.
