Whining sound from front driver side
I got a weird wining sound that is sporadic. I don't hear it all the time, normally only lasts 10-20 seconds. Today it lasted almost 10 min intermittently. Comes from front driver side. It gets louder with as increase in rpms and doesn't matter if clutch is in, what gear im in / neutral or steering strait / turning. I have heard it when I am stopped in neutral / gear (with clutch in) and also at about 60 mph and anywhere in between. Any ideas? My alternator is on it's way out (Bad diode) but I don't think they make that noise??
