Hey i want to get a cold air intake for my ride.....which is a good one.....?
Im looking at a cold air tube and filter from MAC.... are they good?

maybe you should ask in the 05+ section. the steeda one looks hawt. make sure you get the SCT too. you can get some nice gains from just an intake and tune.

the afm power pipe is good. i have no personal experience with it but 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords got 15.60rwhp and 14.51rwtq out of it.

it cost about 500 dollars and it consists of a 4 1/2 inch diameter rubber throttle body elbow that reduces to a fully coated 4 inch tube. the pipe and rubber connecting tube pass throught an aluminum heat shield that isolates a proffesional mass air systems 80 mm mass air sensor.

Not sure about the 06GT. However..JLT is well known for the CAI. Densecharger and the K&N FIPK are also top of the line. Wannna make sure that whatever you get is not metal due to heat soak. Hotter the intake air the less the HP-Shane

I have one from a 05 GT for sale. It is the Steeda unit with Diablosport programmer. $625 for both.

5.0 Mustang and Super Fords just did an article on the best cold air intakes for the 05 (since the 06 is essentially the same, it applies to you too).

The "best" CAI they say is the C&L Performance Trueflow Intake (+25 RWHP +20 RWTQ with SCT tune, $389 www.cnlperformance.com ), followed closely by the JLT True Cold Air Intake (+27.9 RWHP +21.5 RWTQ with SCT tune, $150-$225 www.jlttruecoldair.com ), and others such as Tunable Induction.

The car this one was on ran a 12.91 in the 1/4. It and mufflers were the only mods at that time. I istalled a supercharger and that is why it is fior sale.
