mobil 1. Almost 10yrs and no problems. Hotrod, what vfast and jeep said. It's not just thinner, it's the detergents clean everything, including seals and gaskets. If you have a bunch of hardened goop around your worn seals or hardened gaskets, synthetic will clean all that up, resulting in smoke and leaks.
