ok , there was quite a few q's over the last week about drag radial sizes, what fits, and what not.

i took a few pics today to try give some insight.

my stock tire is a 225/55/16 on a stock pony
the mickey's are 255/50/16 on a stock pony

the stock tire is a bit shorter, i didn't measure it though, usually about 25-25 1/2" someone can fig the size, i don't know how.
the mickey is 26"

the stock tire width is about 9"
the mickey is 10 1/2"

the contact patch on the stock tire is about 7"
the contact patch on the mickey is about 7 1/2"
i think a wider wheel (the correct size wheel...stockers are too skinny) would get a contact patch about 8 1/2"

i tried to show how the narrow wheel pulls in the sidewalls, but not too too bad. you can get away w/ it, but want a wider tire on there.

also a 10 1/2" tire will fit on a stock wheel, no spacers, keep your quad shocks , and just reverse them end for end. that will gain apx 3/4"
