Headers are easy to get so nobody is going to have to custom make them LOL.

You know I completely forgot that Ford was supercharging the V6 in the Thunderbird. Pumping up the HP to 210 with 12 pounds of boost.
Tourqe was in the low 3's. So after thinking about it, a Supercharger, Headers, reprogramed computer and underdrive pulleys might net
you about 250 at the fly wheel. Of course that will be well over 1k worth of mods. I think I would still opt for the V8, but you can get more power out of the six pack.

Well the six thats in there still runs good so I will prolly just look to supercharge it then. If I could get A V8 for the same price that it would take to supercharge the 6 then I would take the V8.

I actually offended another V6 owner when I said this so please dont be offended but try to be reasonable. I pumped about 13 grand into my GT so far and still far from happy with it. I WISH I had not bought the supercharger and spent half of that money on the Cobra that I just bought. I knew I would have to rebuild my engine to turn up the boost and around 400 was all I was gonna get out of stock engine. So..learn from my mistakes and just save up or trade your car in for a better platform before you start going mod crazy-Shane

RE: Need some advice for my new Mustang
By the way....supercharging an engine is way way way more than $1000 bucks You have to take into account all the associated mods like injectors, maf or maf extender, fuel pump, tuner, custom tune. The kit itself..well I paid about 4 grand for mine. After all that you will still put down half to three fourths what a stock "OLD" Cobra puts down. So its no where near worth it. Do your cold air, run a dual exhaust and a couple 10 inch subs and then save your money-Shane

yeah well i just spent alot of money on the exterior of the car so im planning on keeping it for a while. THanx for all the advice though. I know there has to be some way to add some good power without spending a fortune.
