FRPP gears, N or no N

Does anybody know what the N stands for on some gear sets and others dont have it (last letter of the part number). Do I go for the N or not? Whats the big difference and does it make it difference? Thanks

I think N is the newer version of the gears. I'm not quite sure what it is for, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to buy the newer stuff.

i think the newer version has a diffent cut on the gear to reduce noise.

Ya, "N" is for the newer, redesigned gears. The manufacturing process has changed to allow the gears to handle even higher torque and towing capacity. 3.73's are the first such gears to get the "N" designation as they commoning go into some of the big truck/SUV packages that require high towing stats.
