I was thinking having the Y-Pipe cut off, put an X-Pipe in its place w/Flowmaster 40series

u might want to look into the h pipe i hear its better for v6's and if your doing all that work if you have to smog it may i suggest high flow cats little more sound and kick

id say youre better off with an h than an x for sound. youre also better of with a gt im just playin...i used to have a v6 and i loved her.

check out rpmoutlet.com...they have the pypes exhaust system w/ an x-pipe and pro-v mufflers. They are similar to flowmaster 40's. If you want LOUD you should go w/o cats, but that depends on emission standards for your area. Also, make sure you get the pro-v mufflers because, for some reason, some people get the maxi-mizers which are very quiet.

X-pipe will sound better. But you really don't need a crossover of any kind. The 3.8 is a balanced engine.
