Default Car smokes bad after mods. what could be causing this ???

I just finished installing a pro chamber, headers, CAI and underdrive pulleys on my 01 cobra, and when i started it up it smoked like a old hunk of junk. what could poss be the cause of this?????? i thought maybe that the pcv valve was allowing oil to feed in through the intake, but who knows. any imput on what could poss be causing this would be appreciated.

Smoke from the tailpipes or just plain smoking from the engine?

New or used pipes How messy were you when putting in the headers its might have a leak? are you running cats?

When i fired my new motor up It looked like it was on fire for a few seconds haha all the oil and grease and crap all over my pipes

retighten your header bolts and exhuast after a few runs around town to make sure they stay tight

With that header install you need to tighten them a few times anyways, as with any header install. Drive it let it heat up, park it and let it cool, tighten bolts and repeat two more times. It keeps any possible leaks from happening from expansion and contraction.

As for the smoke as long as its not blue you should be fine, blue is burning oil. Just have to wait it out for a few minutes or so to see if it will eventually stop after everything burns off. As for the PVC valve, I dont think that would be the cause, it lets excess pressure into your intake system, doesnt pass oil. Just dont get one of those baffle filters, they mist your engine bay with a film of oil [X(]

Good luck with everything, sounds like your doing some great mods.
