03Cobra aimed at Z06 argument

03Cobra aimed at Z06 argument
To all the GM fans out there that say this:
The 03 Cobra was never aimed at the Z06. In fact, it was never "aimed" at anything! The only reason people started saying this is because the Z06 is the only thing GM has that is close to it in performance! What is in the Cobra's class, and is taking "aim" at the Cobra now is the GTO coming out soon. There will be about a $2000 to $3000 price difference between them (in favor of the GTO), and the GTO will be rear drive and about 350 HP, and will weigh about the same as the Cobra (instead of 3100 lbs. like the Z06)..... sounds like a good match-up, let the races begin!!! I read about this comparison in.... i believe it was Auto News magazine (was at work and had to read quickly).
So anyway, this will be the "class" competition, not the Z06. Although... why not run with GM's "supercar" class for alot less $$ just for s**ts & giggles?? GOD i love Ford!
