Its a bad *** car, If you watched that "rides" show on tlc about 3 weeks ago they showed all the build up on the car and then at the the Carol Shelby driving it and cuttin donuts in it.

FiveO is right, they did estimate or test 267MPH in that thing. What I've recently written on some other forums is the pride I feel when I see Ford comming out with the GT and the new Cobra and the Shelby.From a youngboy, I've always thought of BMWs being on the top,hence, I've always wished to workfor them or Porshe,and still plan on workingfor one of thetwo, but noam considering Ford. I mean for a long time (since the late 70s), the import market (Germans and Japs)have really had a one up on quality and ergonomically sound vehicles. Don't confuse me for a traitor, that's just the way it was. I used to see Ford like most peoplemy age did, as something to use as a stepping stone whilelearning about cars, building yourself a fast machine, and showing off the good loooks. Americaused to beabout Muscle without giving thought to anything else. Now with the pull of the German cars being on top, Ford has pushed right back with their new exotics and factory quality. Honestly I think that Ford has surpassed many import companies in terms of build quality, and has still left them in the dust in terms of raw power. </P>


Its time for Ford to create a supersedan, and get back to some racing heritage other than a Jaguar sponsor in F1 and the supercars in Austrailia. The new GT can take out Germans no prob, and with their sights set on Italian power, Ford is really doing some good stuff in the car world, and have set themselves up for a classical battle like the ones with Ferrari in the late 60s. MKspeed put it well - It is a great time to be a Ford guy. </P>
