Default Wheel hop and blue smoke...

Got my 03 cobra about 6 months ago. I have two concerns about her performance. One I get wheel hop when I put my foot in it. No smooth smokin the tires just a shudder that will take the filling out of you teeth. Next, about every other time I start the car if I haven't driven it for a week or so. I get a puff of blue smoke when I start it. It's not using oil as far as I can tell. But it really worries me...... Other than that I love the car.

the wheel hop probly has something to do with traction control? if cobras have it, im not sure youd have to tell me but if it does turn it off and youll be burning tires like nobodys buisness. as for the smoke no clue

is the smoke coming from both exhausts or just one?

If just one, it could meansomething specifica with that half of the engine, headgasket, injector, or whatnot?

i had some weird smoke out of my right side in my 289. turns out it was a coolant leak into the head.

hope yours is not like mine. 8(

good luck

the wheel hop is a result of having IRS not much you can do about it except try not to spin the tires.

it the smoke only happens when the car has sit a few days and goes away fairly quick don't worrie about it just make sure you warm up the car properly when it has sit a few days.

The smoke comes from both pipes and is only a puff but enough to notice if you start the car and then get out of the car quickly.

Sounds like you might have a head gasket problem.

How hard was the car driven before you bought it? How many miles are on it?
