I know 5.0 heads will fit on a 351 m but because of the increase in deck height I only assume the intake off the 5.0 won't fit. Someone wrote the intake can be machined, does anyone know the correct info. Thanks

your talking a totaly diffent head design. niether the 351m or the 5.0 intake will work im not even sure any one makes a intake for that combo you may have to have a intake built for it.

unless you want to fabricate everything, stay away from that set up.

289--302--351w are from same family with similar bolt patterns.

351 cleveland need water jacket changes.

351 M/400 M use different head gaskets.

Not sure what else is different.

I know a race team that put 351c heads on a 351w block for breathing after the water jacket holes were brazed and redrilled.

all the cooling and head gaskets can be worked around but its probably gonna cost about 1000 for a intake when you could drop that same top end on a windsor and buy a intake cheap.
