i have a 89 vert w/ some minor up grades. the car has 2.73 rear. replacing gears is around 450.00, new c&l around 250.00. i have heard that the c&l isn't worth doing.based on my set-up (mostly stock w/ no plans for major motor upgrades) should gears be the next step.? secondly, should i forget about the c&l for my car?just to let you know, i already removed the silencer and inserted a flat panel k&n.

Definately go with the gears, best bang for your buck. You could also do away with the flat panel filter and get a cone one, they only run like $40-50.

Maybe consider a CAI later if you upgrade or already have upgraded your exhaust.

get 4.10's...should be the first mod period.

my old '90 lx 'vert still only ran 15.10's w/ 3.73's and street tires, and traction was not an issue.

it went 13.60's on a zex dry 100 shot though.

a tb will do ABSOLUTELY nothing for you until you have heads and intake.
