I just have one plea to Ford about the Mustang
PLEASE do anything possible to make the car not be total crap in the snow. I realize that its not made for the snow being RWD and all, but theres gotta be something for all the mustang owners in areas that get a lot of snow, mainly New England. []

At least the newer mustang have traction control for this crap. I dont. I didnt even clean off my car yesterday. I had work at 8:00am. No way in hell was i driving. If you want better traction get a FWD or 4X4. No way is a RWD car going to get traction in the snow no matter what make it is.

The only real option you have for snow driving is to put some heavy sand bags or something in your trunk for the winter to put some more weight over your rear tires. Aggressive tires may also help out. That is about the onlyoptions that our cars have.

How do you figure yingyang?
Front wheel drive is much better for the snow.
Lets hear it.
My advice is if you have to drive a stang , get the most aggressive winter tires and take your time.

Over the weekend I drove to Dalonega GA and a secton of that trip takes me through state road 52 22miles of twisties and 5%-8% grades.
well coming back sunday the roads was cleared by snow plows(up to Dawton line) the rest was
all snow. well the stang done superbly stayed in 3rd all the way up and down the otherside 1st and 2nd gear and no brakes all the way down with no troubles at all.... my old FWD specV
fawt with me tooth and nail last year in that area.... Love traction control....

If you've ever tried driving up a hill around a turn with FWD in the snow, you'd see how quickly you lose traction from the added forces on the front wheels
you WANT more weight on the tires that are transferring power.
ie:
dragstrips, weight to the back is good
in snow: the engine being over the wheels in a FWD vehicle is a good thing, thats why people put weight in their trucks bed, or in their cars trunk
and plowing through things in reverse? lol?? what?
