I need to restrain my 40 pound dog to the covered back seat of my '02 convertible to keep her from jumping out to visit the folks next door at the traffic lights and from climbing over to the front and marking up my leather seats. Anyone have any good luck with a harness type deal that hooks into the seat belt system? Any other things that work for you?

put the dog in the back seat with a collar and 3 leashes connected, tie one leash to each headrest and the other to the spoiler. that'll hold her down a bit
