Default 2005 & 2006 Mustang GT AIRAID Intake System

There is a new product out by Airaid that adds a proven 17+ rear wheel horsepower and 21 ft/lbs of torque, without a tune. What's better, if later on down the road you want to modify the car more and tune it, it has a removeable venturi for this precise purpose. I am showcasing it on the front page of my store. You can purchase it here at the best price anywhere:

There seems to be some interest in this product. Just to clarify, this intake system requires ABSOLUTELY NO TUNING! I still have one available for $279.99. Compare this to $600+ for a C&L and Diablosport combo, which will only net you about 8 more rear-wheel horsepower for about $320! That comes down to $40/hp, whereas the Airaid kit equates to $16.50/HP! It's the best HP for your dollar part available for the 2005+ mustangs! Many people have commented that the 2005+ mustang parts are very expensive, especially for the gains you get. Airaid has changed that with their new intake! Let me know if you have any questions, I'm looking forward to helping you out.

Put mine on in Dec of 05 and I swear by it. But as stated above, DO NOT remove the Venturi tube until you get a good custom tune, preferebly on a dyno. Ran mine for a few weeks before installing a canned Diablo tune and no problems. Can't testify to the claimed power gains without a tune though.

Very good intake....I have had several different name brands with my imports, this is a great quality product and worth every penny for the power it makes...

But what sort of times are our cars running with the airaid installed? C&L plus the tune and mac mufflers was running high 12's. low 13's. That seems worth the $600. Not to bash the product, I am attracted to not having to tune, but the tune also supposedly gives you all around better performance. Please correct me if I am wrong, as I will purchase the airaid instead and save 300 bucks.

Hi Claytone,

8 rear wheel horsepower is not going to make very much of a difference in the quarter mile. This intake is the most flexible, because you can tune it for more power if you want. The only advantage the tuner has is the ability to affect the air fuel ratio and the timing. In 5.0 magazine, the C&L made 25hp and 20ft/lbs over stock, with a tune. The Airaid actually makes more torque without the tune. I believe the Airaid actually has more potential than the C&L. I hope all of this helps. Either way, let me know what you decide, I'll be glad to help you.

That is a good point, any idea what sort of gains to expect with a tune? Has anyone tuned yet with one? Thanks for the info and fast replies.
