I installed a set of 4:10 in place of the 3:55s today. Awesome! The acceleration is much quicker, but I can still cruise at 80 and only gained about 300 rpm's - 2500 to 2800. I originally thought I would go with the 3:73 set, but figured I might as well move to 4:10. Glad I did!

I just picked up my car from the shop I got the 4.10's installed too. I like them so far but I didnt get to push them yet , though they do feel really really, strong in second gear though I can tell you that.

Do any of you guys know anyone with 3.73s? Is it a big difference compared to the 4.10s. I have a set of 4.10s but haven't installed them yet. Just worried that it's too short. 2800 at 80 is pretty good though. Is there any chance of being gear limited with 4.10s or could it still get to the governor?
Picture of my car and the drawing that I'm doing of that same picture of my car. It's not finished yet though. I've got more shading to do on the body.

Normally people with Auto transmissions stay at 3:73 due to the fact that the standard has a taller O.D. gear. As far as the speed limiter, just change it in the programmer (if you have one) when you go in to change the ratio parameter to correct the speedo reading. Even with the 4:10 ratio in a stick, exceeding the 140 mark aint no prob Bob (not that I would EVER break the speed limit)! That is unless you get caught!

4.10s will actually increase ur top speed due to the fact that you can use OD and have the power to actually move somewhere.
