I have 4.10's (amoung other things) and I launch at 5000 rpm in 1st gear. My burnouts are done in 2nd gear at 4500 rpm.

personally, i launch at 1200-1500rpm in first...it grips well until about 2500rpm where it just spins em. then second is the same after 4k. whips sideways on the 2-3 shift too. still managed a 12.97 @ 110.8, and a 2.01 60' somehow tho (that was with 4.10s...430s are useless at the track until i get tires)
