I just installed my XCAL2 AND JLT2 tonight and there was a big difference. The car is a different animal now. I even used the more conswervativwe 87 octane tune. Reflash and try again! You should be able to tell a diff.

You should get the boost from going from an 87 to 91 tune. Going from an 87 tune (stock) to any other 87 tune will have limited results. I cant believe Brent would say that its only 1-5 hp unless there is something peculiar about your tune. Should be like 20 hp.

ok, excuse the .7 mpg I was lazy in typing, but still. the 1st tank when i got mine i was at 12 mpg testing that sucker out. now normal driving mixed about 16mph

There is something wrong!!! I went through the same situation. I felt the same way when I first installed my C&L with the SCT 2 tune and I felt no increase. I took my ride to Atlanta Dyno and Chassis back to where I bought my SCT 2 after a few tunes using O2 sensors off (because I have X Pypes Off Road) and changing the air/fuel mixture along with a 93 octane tune, Rev limiter to 6800, idle speed at 650, Goerlich axle backs exlerator, we final got it close. I then had tuned on the dyno with a before and after calibration. We showed a huge increase in HP and torque. I took it for a ride and WOW... you need to get to the closes SCT 2 deaaler and have it tuned correctly. I got a 45 HP increase and 42 FT. LBS of torque from stock to now. Get it to a dealer !!!! Or head to a dyno day somewhere so you can get your $$ worth. You will gladly thank me. I really and a SCT lover. I used to have the Diablo Sport and swear by SCT. Have the Dealer set up your tune so you can make your own changes. That is where you can fine tune what you want... Hope this helps. A once discouraged C&L and SCT 2 owner who has a change of HEART!!!!!

I noticed a huge difference when I put my XCal II tune with my JLT II CAI, now I plan on doing an offroad X or H pipe in the future along with headers. Should I get a special tune once I do this?

Not all stock cars are tuned the same. Mine at first take didn't take off either but now I run the 87 tune with 93 octane and it took off big time. My car was pinging when I used the 87 gas at purchase without the CAI and tune. Now its totally different. I'm think of trying the 89 tune with the 93 octane next.
