Default Tri-ax shifter

I recently put a new tri-ax shifter on my 06' mustang. I followed the directions exactly when installing it, but for some reason it is a lot harder to push to the right to go into 5th or Reverse than to push to the left to go into 1st or 2nd. #rd and 4th are also fine. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so how they fixed it or what they might think is wrong with it.

A common fix for tight shifts on these is to loosen the shift nut a bit. Its shouldnt be at all tight. I had to do that to mine. And it does loosen up after you put some miles on the car.

I guess I wasn't as clear as I thought I was, I meant that it goes into gear fine (1st - 5th and reverse). but it is just harder to push to the right than the left in the neutral position. And what nut did you mean exactly that I should loosen up, I know you said the shift **** but I dont really know what you are talking about.

That was shift "nut" not shift "****". But it sounds like you dont have much of a problem at all. Just put some miles on the car and it should feel fine.
