JUST DID IT!!!!
Well I just returned from the local Ford dealership after ordering my 2006 Mustang GT. It took all of 20 minutes from start to finish. The dealer gave me $1355 off of retail and allowed $2500 more for my trade, 2004 Explorer Sport Trak, than the next closest price. Boy was I surprised. The order will go in tomorrow and then just the 6-8 week wait. Ordered Legend Lime Metallic with Parchment cloth interior and automatic transmission. Can't wait to get it and put on the '67 stripes and GTA emblems.

I was so stoked after ordering mine...but after last years vin delays up north and jumping thru hoops a bit, then had it show up, get smacked up a bit at unloading, had to reorder, wait again(still without a testdrive- that sucked)...still gotta say, as everyone said- it is definitely worth the wait. Ive put 1700 miles on mine since mid december on nicer days, and havent really gone anywhere yet...just driving around in search of the perfect onramp
From all I'd read, I expected it would be pretty quick, etc, but the sound and road feel will blow you away(well except for the gas pedal...everything else is perfect). I didnt know driving a car could be so fun.
They look kinda cool too

I ordered my Mustang in Legend Lime and absolutely love it..its not a color you see everyday. Ive seen a few v6'ers in my area, but my 05 is the only Legend Lime GT Ive seen so far. I think you made an excellent choice on the color. Lets see some pics when you get it

Know the process well and I am a little ahead of you in getting my 06' Black GT Vert w/ Lt Graphite interior (Anyone else w/ Blk/Gry combo?). See the factory spit-out below in tracking it.
I'm told by Ford VOPC that delivery is this week[sm=signs007.gif] but no status for over a week now. Can not wait to hit the street w/ this baby.
