RE: Vapor Trap Question
if im not mistaken i believe i read the trap was to keep unburned fuel vapor from escaping out the air intake when the car is turned off, just to help mileage. think i read a website about how this guy was claiming 3-5 RWHP just from that. i thought it was total BS but i still looked for it in mine the day i got my 06 LOL

RE: Vapor Trap Question
I was laughing with you not at you. I think it was for keeping vapors from the engine after the engine is turned off. I have no idea why they stopped taking them out. I took it out because I read 4-6 free horsepower. LOL

RE: Vapor Trap Question
my bad ejd05gt. guess i got a little pissy, sorry, crappy day at work. i still cant figure out why ford would do it for such a short time then quit puttin them in. maybe they figured it was a waste of money since virtually everyone who buys a GT is gonna take it out anyways.

Assuming the standard transmission is 15% drivetrain loss, my stock engine ran @ 306HP without the trap, I don't think it's BS.
