Sorry, but that's impossible. You can't get Ford gears for less than $200-205, and no self-respecting tech would do all that work for that price.

The HP shop that does my work said $400 out the door parts and labor. So yea, I think $600 is high also.

I agree, Hawg. and, regarding an installation kit, there isnt one, except for a new gasket, perhaps. A good gear/tranny man should be able to do it between 400-500. I have three people, and they all are about the same. I just went with the guy a mechanic friend said he trusts most, with a good reputation.

Have you had these installed yet? You have about the same set up on your car. I was just curious how you liked 'em.

Greg, they go in wednesday. Im a little nervous, if It will hook up or not with the S/C. I have roush suspension, but have to order the rear control arms, upper and lower, panhard bar and panhard bar brace elsewhere, thoug. That will help it hook up, Im sure. Im going to an 1/8 mile track tomorrow to get some 60' times before the gear goes in so i will have a good baseline to compare to. I have only one decent takeoff with the s/c on, and that was a 1.9 60', spinning out of the trap. Ill keep you posted.
