Yeah, absolutely no problems in my 06 but if that happened to me I would definately invest in some hood pins.

Find some hood pins that you like there are a few styles out there and they can look very nice on the 05/06.

140+ Stock, smooth as silk I was very impressed.

That's exactly it. I noticed when I was replacing my hood that Ford didn't properly adjust the rubber stops. You just need to raise those up to the propper height. You'll figure out where that is when it's supporting the hood (keeping it from shaking) but it doesn't make the hood stick up above the fenders. You might not be able to get it to stick up that high and latch too anyway. -Joe

I raised the rubber stoppers on mine, makes it tough to close (I have to push it down from about half way up) but no more hood shake.

That's interesting...the rubber hood stops I mean. I have an 06 (built early enough to have come with an aluminum hood), no issues with the hood at high speed, and yes it is difficult to close the hood. Since this is easier to test than drilling holes or installing hood pins, seems like you should start there.

Best,
-j

Put some chauk on the top of hood stops. close hood and then open & look on hood liner for marks
if no marks you need to raise the stop
