I think this happens with all the newer stangs from what i've heard. The best thing you could probably do is buy some hood pins.

I have an 05 with the aluminum nhood, and I havent had the problem. Ive ran over 110 a few times, and swear, i havent noticed. I think they changed the hood material in 06. I dont know all the details, but I think I read that on here.

I haven't noticed any problems even at 130+... Maybe I'm paying too much attention to the road, or the speedo to notice. I dunno.

while i was comin across the country on I-40 i had the cruise at 100-110 for a few stretches and it looked like a tarp blowing in the wind, especially when i passed semis. it was so bad i pulled over to check it and make sure i had closed it all the way once LOL.

I agree. I've been up to 125 and didn't notice anything about the hood. I too may have been paying more attention to the road and such...but I think that if the hood would have been dancing around that bad I would have noticed it.

It seems logical. The hood extends over the front of the car so I'm sure it catches a lot of wind, Plus it's made from aluminum so it has a lot of flex. I haven't personally experienced it but I've only had mine to 100 or so.

Mine dances at around 120 or so. At 130 the car loosens up very badly. New springs help, but it feels like an arodynamics issue. I read somewhere that if you drill small relief holes in the plasic cowl liner that seals the back of the hood it will nearly stop. Can't prove it 'cause i havn't done it.

I raised the rubber stoppers on mine, makes it tough to close (I have to push it down from about half way up) but no more hood shake.
